Little Things

These little pieces were thrown on a wheal as usual. But have very interesting glazes, this one has a blue green gloss over green purple.

The next piece, the bowl, I used a glaze called weathered bronze. The actual size is about one inch high.

My last piece is about an inch high. For glaze I first dipped it in denim blue, then I sprayed on blue green gloss, which gives the drippy effect.

one of my pieces

Hello,

Here is one of my pieces that I have made in the last couple of months. This bowl was thrown on a wheel. I used a pin tool to make the markings (second picture). For glazing I sprayed on a layer of shino glaze. This was fired in a reduction kiln at pewabic pottery.

introduction to my blog

Hello to all,
My name is Nigel and I would like to welcome you to my pottery blog, where I will post pictures of my work and how I made it. All my pottery is made at pewabic pottery which is located in Detroit MI. I am somewhat of a beginner but I think my work is worth having a look at. I will have some pictures up in a few days.
